As he settles in, he finds winning her over might be harder than he thought. He plans to do all he can to carry out the pact, but learns that everything comes at a cost.
Plot and Conflict. Jessica argues about marrying Lucius; She didnt believe that there was really vampires; She refused to let Lucius bite her at first.
But is Jess the crazy one for resisting the sexy Romanian young man who tries to swoon her off the bat? But how long can you push away a vampire without getting bitten? I absolutely loved this book. You get the greatest view of both Jessica and Lucius and why they do what they do. Jess through the general narration and Lucius through the letters he writes to his uncle in Romania.
Lucius is my ideal picture of a vampire, with glimpses of a human soul, but also the ability to be cold in a way that he can distance himself from all emotion and attachment. And the sex appeal… well that was dead-on. Jessica has flaws as a character and strengths as well. I liked watching her change throughout the course of the book into more of a regal vampire than American teenage girl. This was my first book review I did on my blog!
Remember Me. This was a really great read! I believe that craze is still going on now However, I do think that the book was a bit fast pace, which caused it to lack a bit of detail, but not enough to make someone lose interest in the story. The main character doesn’t really believe too much in herself or who she is “destined” to be, which becomes a bit annoying as you go farther into the book, but she does gain some courage near the latter quarter of the book.
The ending was really great!!
Jessica is an average farm girl. She shovels out horse stalls, flirts with the cute boy next door and tries to get by as being normal in high school.
If so, why? And we are to be married, the moment you come of age. Dark has been decreed since our birth. I couldn’t even process the “getting married” book, or the thing about “decreed. So I did what any sane person would do. I jammed the pitchfork in the general direction of his foot and ran like hell for the house, ignoring his yowl of pain.

Vampires, adolescence, true love and high tension. He’s arrogant, officious, embarrassingly overprotective, and, well, incredibly hot. But just when things start to heat up with Lucius, a devious cheerleader sets her sights on him. Soon Jess finds herself fighting to win back her wayward prince, stop a global vampire war — and save Lucius’s soul from eternal damnation.
All of which leaves her to wonder: Wouldn’t life be easier if she could just fall for a nice mortal boy? It doesn’t get too bogged down in vampire lore.
